Gurudwara Sahib Downriver was established in 2007 to serve the spiritual and cultural needs of the Sikh community in the Downriver area of Michigan. Since its founding, the Gurudwara has become a central hub for worship, community gatherings, and cultural education. It provides a welcoming space for individuals and families to connect with Sikh values, participate in weekly services, and engage in seva (selfless service).

An important part of the Gurudwara’s mission is nurturing the next generation through its ongoing Punjabi School, where children learn Gurmukhi, Punjabi language, and Kirtan (devotional music). This program helps preserve Sikh heritage and ensures that youth stay connected to their roots, values, and traditions.

With a strong and growing congregation, Gurudwara Sahib Downriver continues to uphold the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib and promote unity, compassion, and service in the broader community.
